Once I understand the process, the fizz stays inside and I won't lose carbonation until the very end of my drink.
To maintain the fizz for a decent period, I need to pump quite a bit to maintain goodly pressure. If I consume half a bottle, it will require 50 or 60 strokes to pressurize the bottle sufficiently.
