I chose the longer cable for its versatility in multiple areas.
The cord has a nice length and can charge both my phone and watch simultaneously.
I would prefer the point where the cord splits to be closer to the phone/watch end.
After the cord splits, there is about 2 feet of cord on either side, one going to my watch and one going to my iPhone.

I had to buy the charger for the second time in less than a year and it stops working after 3-4 months.

Having one cable to charge both my iPhone and Apple Watch makes travel easier.
The adapter charges both my watch and phone and plugs right into the standard USB port, eliminating the need for additional adapters.
The cable is not compatible with fast charger adapters.

I have not noticed any difference in charging time with my cable and my husband's regular cable. Therefore, I recommend this cable.
