I installed the thermostat out of the box and had it operating in less than 30 minutes. I used the online compatibility tool to determine which wires go where on my old thermostat.
The installation was easy and took only 30 minutes. Some of the wiring colors in my HVAC unit were different from the Nest install diagrams, but it all made sense in the end and the system confirmed the wires accordingly.
I found the installation process quite easy thanks to the clear instructions provided by the Nest install web site and video on which wires to connect where.
Once the wiring was complete, setting up was easy and so was the app installation.
