About Oxbow Pure Comfort Small Animal Bedding 72 Liter Bag
Overall Feedback:
79% positive
75% appreciated its high absorbency, but 25% found it lacking
The bedding is of high quality, very soft, and extremely absorbent. It has no odor and no mess.
During the day, I have to shift some of the litter to cover what is there as it is not quite as absorbent as other litters.
Once the bedding gets wet, it stays wet for a very long time, indicating that it is not very absorbent.
This litter did not absorb the pig smells and instead made them worse.
76% liked the comfortable bedding, although 24% thought it was too firm
I liked the bedding for its softness.
I really liked the extremely soft bedding.
My dwarf hamsters had severe allergic reactions to this bedding.
74% found it easy to clean up, while 26% struggled with messes
This product is the only one that has been able to keep things very clean in my guinea pigs hay room/kitchen area and is easy to clean.
After changing the bedding to Carefresh and scrubbing the cage, the itching stopped instantly.
Once the bedding gets wet, it stays wet for a long time.
74% appreciated its long-lasting performance, though 26% found it wore out quickly
The product was in my hamster's cage for less than a week and my baby died.
The smallest size of our product lasts for 5-7 days depending on daily usage, but it is quite expensive.
I noticed that the litter has a funny smell and a lot of dust, and it's only 16 liters.
The bedding litter caused a problem with the longevity of the product. Despite multiple baths with unscented natural dish soap, baking soda, and unscented natural glycerin soap, the rats still smell faintly of wintergreen.
The product can expand up to 21L upon absorption from its initial 8.2 liters of bedding.
The bedding caused severe allergic reactions in my dwarf hamsters.
75% praised for its excellent odor control, while 25% noticed lingering smells
I have found that the product effectively absorbs Guinea pig pee and controls odor.
I think this bedding doesn't have the best odor control, but I believe dwarf hamsters have smellier pee than Syrians and other larger small pets.
I got a batch from Amazon that had a strange mint or wintergreen smell. I used the bedding for my rats for one night and changed it the next day when I noticed the smell hadn't disappeared yet.
When I opened the package, I experienced a strong chemical-like smell, indicating poor odor control.
I like the absorbency of the litter. If left too long, the paper can sometimes get so wet that it sticks to the litter pan, but it is easily scrapped off.
The product is easy to pick up if it falls on the floor and is virtually dust-free with no odor.
