About Canon RF100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L is USM Lens
Overall Feedback:
90% positive
65% appreciated the wide aperture range
I am able to create some sexy bokeh with this lens in many situations, despite my bias towards wide apertures.
Adding a 1.4 extender to get a 300-700 mm range gives me excellent quality photos.
69% praised for its solid build quality
I have found the build quality of this lens to be top-notch and it has held up admirably in challenging conditions, including dusty and damp environments. The weather resistance is a huge plus, allowing me to shoot in various conditions without worry.
85% liked its fast and accurate autofocus
I have found that the autofocus is fast and accurate, and the images are superb.
The lens has excellent autofocus, great image quality, and impressive image stabilization.
The autofocus is incredibly fast and near-silent, powered by Dual Nano USM motors.
87% praised for its exceptional image quality
I noticed that the image quality is great and the sharpness difference from my old 300mm with RF control ring adapter is obvious while pixel peeping.
At high ISOs, I noticed that the image quality is great and the IS and AF are also great.
This lens has fast, low-light capability with 5 stops of image stabilization, allowing me to take sharp shots at shutter speeds like one-tenth of a second even when I cannot hold the camera perfectly still.
In low light, I notice a noticeable difference between F/5.6 and F/6.3. The pictures are sharper, especially in the corners, and it is easier to focus. I prefer the 300mm lens over the 200mm lens.
