About Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
96% liked its fast and accurate autofocus
In low light, I notice a noticeable difference between F/5.6 and F/6.3. The pictures are sharper, especially in the corners, and it is easier to focus. I prefer the 300mm lens over the 200mm lens.
I noticed that the lens focuses fairly well and the OSS is quite noticeable as soon as I half-press the shutter.
94% praised for its exceptional image quality
I find that the image quality of this lens is decent and can produce good quality images, especially when stopped down.
90% liked its compact and lightweight design
This lens is important to me because I take most of my pictures while mountain biking. It is smaller than other 200 mm zoom lenses I have seen and both size and weight play a big factor since I am lugging it on my back.
I enjoy holding my NEX-6 with this lens mounted to it more than I did with the 16-50mm kit lens. The size and weight of the lens are perfect for Sony's NEX/A series of APS-C cameras.

The aperture range of this lens is excellent. A low aperture number like f/1.8 allows for shots with a focused subject and a blurry background.
