I am impressed with the higher DPI scans. They are amazing and would allow for a 10x13 picture to be printed. I scan important pictures at 3200 DPI, resulting in a bigger file size but it's worth it for the difference in picture quality.
I have found that this scanner has better image quality than the local professional lab. I am rescanning all my negatives from the past five years because they are that good in terms of tonal range and image quality at 7200dpi.
This scanner has been a godsend for me to see all my photos again. I've kept the negatives all these years and many prints have been given away, lost, destroyed, etc.

The scanner is faster than the V600, taking only 60 seconds per slide with iSRD on. The scans are sharp and colors are excellent.
The scanning process is fairly fast.
I can slide the film holder to the next notch and hit prescan as soon as the scan has hit 99% and hear the head reverse, indicating that the scan speed is good enough for me to work with.
I scan at the highest resolution and find the scan times acceptable, which is around 2 minutes per scan. I also do post-processing in GIMP after scanning.
