About Lodge 12" Cast Iron Skillet - Chef Collection
Overall Feedback:
84% positive
90% highlighted the cleaning ease
Cleaning the skillet is easy and effective. After cooking, a quick rinse and wipe out with a little soap on a dish cloth makes the pan look like new.
I wash the skillet with a little dish soap after every use, dry it completely by putting it over heat on the stove, then rub a coating of Avocado oil all over it after every use. This makes it easy to clean the skillet.
85% appreciated the even heat distribution
My new lodge skillet is as good as my old Wagner skillet.
77% liked the handle comfort
The short handle of this skillet makes it easy for me to pickup and control when moving around.
76% were impressed with its lightweight
This pan is much lighter than a regular cast iron pan.
I like the lower sides, great pour spouts, short handle, extra handle/grip and overall lighter weight of the skillet.
88% found material durable, while 12% raised concerns
I use the skillet for everything and wash it with a little dish soap after every use. Then, I dry it completely by putting it over heat on the stove and rub a coating of Avocado oil all over it after every use, which keeps it in perfect condition.
This pan is much lighter than a regular cast iron pan and bumpier/rougher.
87% liked the non-stick performance
Over time, the non-stick performance of the pan has improved as the bottom has become smoother on the inside.
79% were satisfied with the size options
I ordered this skillet because I was tired of searching for a similar but overpriced one at flea markets.
86% found it versatile
I think this pan is going to be good to work with, especially since it is easier to wield due to its weight.
I have been using this skillet for about 6 weeks now and cooking things in it that would normally be done in the oven or on the grill just to keep the seasoning process moving.
I have a cast-iron pan that my grandmother gave me 32 years ago. It's still going strong because I always dry it on a burner after washing it, which shows that the skillet has good material durability.
I have cooked eggs, bacon, pancakes, fried chicken, and fried fish so far and nothing sticks. This wide pan is perfect for frying whole fish, with a diameter of approximately 14'.
