The book is suitable for pencils, acrylic and gouache paint.
I gave the journal 2 stars for its sturdy binding that opens flat, making it easy to work across page spreads.
I noticed that the paper color is different from what I normally use. It has a strong cream with almost lemon tint.
Rephrased: The paper color is different from my usual choice. It has a strong cream with almost lemon tint.

I love the little square version of the sketchbook-notebook with smooth good quality paper suitable for drawing in ink and coloured pencil.
I like the color of the sketchbook and it has a good amount of pages.
The paper color is different from what I normally use. It has a strong cream color with almost lemon tint.
The paper is too thin and cannot handle water. I compared it with other sketchbooks I've used and found it unsuitable for watercolor washes.
I have used this paper for pencil sketching, color pencils with blending sticks, and light watercolor painting. The paper feels quite good and holds up well with each application, without any worry of bleeding or page deformation.
I have found that the sketchbook-notebook takes pencil and watercolors well. Although the paper buckles after watercolors, I was able to fix it by dampening the back of the page, putting parchment paper around the page, and sticking the whole book under some heavy stuff for a while.
I learned the importance of using sturdy paper for my working notebooks, especially for multiple erasures and re-drawing of pencil drawings and notes. Artists also use heavy paper for drawing for the same reason.
