I learned the importance of using sturdy paper for my working notebooks, especially for multiple erasures and re-drawing of pencil drawings and notes. Artists also use heavy paper for drawing for the same reason.
I enjoy using the sketchbook because the pages have a slight thickness and weight more than normal paper, providing a nice drawing experience. I don't worry about seeping or indentations unless I apply heavy pressure.
My eraser leaves the paper feeling rough, grainy and frail. It would probably tear if I continued.
