I find that the pad is too thick to sketch on easily and the pages are difficult to remove, indicating poor binding durability of the sketchbook.

I love the size of the sketchbook.
The paper is quite thick and heavy, almost like thin cardboard.
The sketchbook cover is not acid-fast, which means it will amber and weaken faster with age.
The only issue with the quality of the sketchbook is that the back board should be sturdier.

I am excited to test out the paper weight of Nil Techs, which is 107 lbs compared to Strathmore Toned Tan (STT) at about 80 lbs.
The paper has a perfect balance of fibre and smooth textures, making it easy to write and design on.

The sketchbook is True Size and micro perforated, meaning the paper dimensions remain 9x12 even if a sheet is torn out. It's a pet peeve of mine when sketchbooks aren't True Sized.
The only downside of this sketchbook is that it is not available in sizes other than 9x12 and only in tan and black.
