This is the best light, agile board you can buy, and if you're looking for a beginner, it might be better to learn on a bigger wheel base.
I expected a scrambled egg but didn't get one. This board is 90% as fast as the longboard I have been practicing for the last 2 years, and it fits on my backpack straps like a toy.
This bad boy handles bumps and huge cracks in the pavement like nothing and that is with my lack of experience, so I highly recommend this board and you get a lifetime warranty, and you work directly with Paolo himself which is a pleasure.
It took me a few days to adjust after riding a board I thought was a Cadillac for several years.
I had no expectation for a functional tail, but the last 2 inches of the board make it useful even for riders who don't usually use a tail, and Paolo reached out to me.
Question & Answers
I got my eggboard today and it's creaking when I lean on either side of the deck. I'm new to skateboarding.
It's normal for a brand new skateboard to have a squeaking noise, but if it goes on for a while, please let me know.
What's the maximum weight capacity?
The eggboard is 1/2 inch thick and we had people up to 250 pounds using it.
How would you get to the curb? It looks like it's a little short to ollie. I would like to use it for street transportation.
The skateboard is not made for ollies because the deck doesn't have a tail, but it still gets off the curb without having toollie.
Is the street red grippier or is the peeled red just looks?
The only differences between the 2 models are the color of the griptape. Street Red has a traditional old-school dark griptape, while the Peeled Red (also called GhostTape) has a clear griptape but the gripping is the same.
Do you think this would work for my son and I, he only rides a Rip Stick and I only ride a longboard?
Yes. The Eggboard is designed to be a very stable board and its wide trucks are perfect for both beginners and people with more experience.
