The noise levels are a little high and it is difficult to carry on a conversation unless standing next to each other. However, it is less noisy than a gas blower.
I thought the noise level of this snow blower would be quieter, but it's like a shop vac. The constant pitch change when not under load to under load is a bit annoying, but it's quieter than gas. The gas one had a more consistent sound though, so it may still wake the neighbors.
