About Scoop Single Serve Coffee Maker
Overall Feedback:
90% positive
77% highlighted the water reservoir capacity, but 23% did not
If the water reservoir is completely empty, I will not get a full cup as a certain amount of water remains in the reservoir.
83% found the maintenance easy
To maintain the Scoop coffee maker, I run 1/2 cup of plain white vinegar and 1/2 cup of water through the brew cycle followed by two or three cycles of plain water. It takes maybe 5 or 6 minutes total.
77% were satisfied with the brewing temperature, while 23% weren't
The brewing temperature of my coffee maker is a bit cooler than the ideal temperature of 180 degrees, but it still makes a good cup of coffee.
During the initial cycles, I found that the water temperature in the first cycle was between 154-160F, while the second cycle was around 180/185 degrees.
I consistently produce coffee between 155-170F which is lower than the required temperature of 200 deg. F.
I found that the ideal brewing temperature is between 195 205 degrees Fahrenheit, but I only got 186 degrees.
83% were impressed with the brewing capacity, but 17% weren't
I was looking for a single serve coffee maker that would make a larger-than-usual single serving and this unit meets my criteria by producing my desired 15 ounces of brew each morning.
The coffee maker only allows for 8 and 14 ounce brewing, which is not suitable for my 12 ounce mugs.
83% liked the brew time
The machine takes 2-3 minutes to brew and pauses until all the water is through the grounds.
This coffee maker requires a lot of maintenance and is not worth the trouble. I have to clean it once a month, minimum, to avoid build up in the lines that can result in not getting the full cup of coffee.
The single serve coffee maker has a separate, removable water reservoir that is easy to refill and allows selection of cup size in ounces. The reservoir has a capacity of 6 to 14 oz in 2 oz increments.
The coffee maker won't brew with less than two cups of water in the reservoir. I can brew two to three times before refilling.
