About Elite Gourmet EHC208RS Personal Single-Serve Compact Capsule Coffee Maker Brewer
Overall Feedback:
83% positive
72% highlighted the water reservoir capacity, but 28% did not
I noticed that the coffee maker was supposed to have a 30 cup capacity, but it's actually smaller with a real capacity of 19 1/2 cups. Additionally, the 30 cup mark is falsely imprinted on the inside of the coffee maker.
79% appreciated the size, however 21% faced problems
The size of the capsule is not suitable for a standard coffee cup and only fits a tiny tea cup style or china set style of coffee cup.
78% found the maintenance easy, but 22% struggled
I recommend this coffee maker for 2-3 people. It has an automatic cut off and keeps the coffee heated. I keep it off most of the day and allow it to reheat every 3-4 hours to prevent burning. It keeps us supplied all day.
I noticed a film of slime and scum floating on the bottom of my coffee maker after the initial boiling process. This indicates that it is not easy to maintain and clean.
When I opened the grinders lid, there was a strong odor of machine oil, indicating that the machine was not properly cleaned before assembly.
I have experienced that the pot randomly reheats the water throughout the day and this only happens when the heating element is failing.
81% found the compatibility helpful, however 19% faced issues
I want the coffee maker to be compatible with k-cup and regular coffee grounds. The basket is larger than what I actually need for the fresh grounds, hopefully it doesn't make a difference.
79% were impressed with the brewing capacity, but 21% weren't
When I poured water for the third brew, it spit the water out and filled the bottom fluid reservoir before I could push the button to start.
77% liked the brew time, yet 23% didn't
On the first day, it took me 30-35 minutes to brew 25 cups of coffee.
The brewing time is slower than expected, but I'm okay with it since I'm camping and trying to rush out the door to work.
I noticed that the coffee maker was supposed to have a 30 cup capacity, but it's actually smaller with a real capacity of 19 1/2 cups. Additionally, the 30 cup mark is falsely imprinted on the inside of the coffee maker.
This coffee maker requires a lot of maintenance and is not worth the trouble. I have to clean it once a month, minimum, to avoid build up in the lines that can result in not getting the full cup of coffee.
