About weBoost Home Studio Lite (470165) Cell Signal Booster Kit
66% were satisfied with the multi-user support
After using the signal booster, I went from unusable cell phone reception to flawless reception. The signal booster has the ability to support multiple users simultaneously
69% were satisfied with the network compatibility
I called weBoost and asked if the signal booster worked in my zip code and it did. I ordered the Basic Home and hooked it up on top of the utility pole, ran the wire through the air then inside the house and got 4 bars of LTE.
I used the signal booster with AT&T and had great results for about a year and a half.
This signal booster works with different cellular networks and various technologies (GSM CDMA LTE) and it works on any no-contract phone. I went from unusable cell phone reception to flawless cell phone reception after using this signal booster.
71% were satisfied with the frequency range coverage, but 29% weren't satisfied
I was able to get up to 5 bars of 4G LTE signal depending on the proximity of the device to the interior antenna, even with only 2 bars at the receiver.
I checked the signal strength around the house to determine the location of the receiving unit and broadcast unit, and made sure it carried my ATT broadcast band.
I noticed that the signal booster did not change the signal strength much, but it did prevent my phone from going to No Service and dropping calls. However, I still had some issues with people on the other end saying “sorry can you repeat that, your phone is breaking up”.
The signal booster's coverage rapidly diminishes as you move more than a few feet from the internal transmitter. Don't expect anywhere near 1500 square feet of useful coverage.
74% appreciated the installation process, but 26% disagreed
I installed the signal booster on top of the utility pole, ran the wire through the air then inside the house and it worked.
Placing the external antenna can be tricky and requires using on-line apps to locate the closest cell tower and experimenting with various positioning to gain the best reception, which takes time and patience.
The installation of the signal booster was complex and difficult to repair when it failed at the Outside Antenna connector. The second failure was at the power connector, which I could repair, but I am concerned about where it might fail next.
71% were happy with the indoor coverage area while 29% weren't happy
I wanted a signal booster that works within a 50+ feet range inside the house, and it does.
My experience with the signal booster is that its coverage area is limited and the signal diminishes quickly as you move away from the internal transmitter.
81% liked the amplication power
I get the same boost ability from the home version as I would with the office version, indicating that the home version has the same level of signal amplification as the office version.
WeBoost Home slightly boosts and ports the 1-2 bar outside signal to a 2 to 3 bar signal inside the cabin.
After turning on the booster, my signal strength jumped from -104db to -84db.
