About SHARPAL 196N Angle Pyramid Whetstone Knife Blade Sharpener
Overall Feedback:
82% positive
69% highlighted the size and dimensions, but 31% didn't.
For this product, smaller knives work better and anything larger than 6 inches makes it difficult to use the whole stone.
I noticed that the edge of the slope on these guides don't go all the way down to the sharpening surface. However, it's not a big deal for large knives, but could be for the smallest pocket knives.
77% found it versatile
I am using sharpening stones to put a new edge on old kitchen knives and getting a more consistent edge than I could when judging the angle purely by eye.
I found the guide provided with the sharpening-stones useful for different types of knives since I did not have access to the manufacturers specification for my knives.
75% were highly impressed by the material composition
I like the non-slip gripping texture of the black pyramid guide for use on non-ferrous stones. The orange pyramid has a magnetic base for ferrous metal sharpening stones.
83% found it easy to use
The Sharpal 196N ANGLE PYRAMID Whetstone sharpening angle guides are very useful when used with whetstones. They take the guesswork out of getting the correct angle for sharpening knives or tools on a stone. Based on my experience, I highly recommend them.

The dual-sided stones provide fine control for grinding out nicks in the edge and honing a blade razor-sharp, showcasing the versatility of the sharpening-stones.
I achieved the desired sharpness of my chef knife with just 400 and 1000 grit stone and a few swipes on leather with that white thing rubbed. I didn't even bother using 3000 and 8000 grit stone.
Very little pressure is needed if I spend time and let the stone do the work.
