I found the sewing ruler to be not sturdy enough as it slipped out of my hand and broke into several pieces while I was taking it out of the package.
I noticed that the item was damaged but the damage was not so large that it became unusable. I will be repairing it with superglue as the cracks are sufficiently clean and the item does not have to stand up to heavy duty wear for myself.
