About Janome 3160QDC-G Sewing and Quilting Machine
Overall Feedback:
68% positive
81% liked the stitch options, but 19% didn't
I face the problem of the machine not remembering stitch settings when turned off. I have to reset it every time, even if using just a straight stitch. The stitch length must be set each time I turn the machine on or switch from one stitch to another.
85% were impressed with the bobbin system, however 15% weren't
I tried 5 bobbins and all of them wound janky. The post that holds the bobbin would start fine, then slow, and then stop.
I opened the machine to check the bobbin shuttle and found that the gear that is supposed to rotate it isn’t attached.
81% found the needle positioning ideal
I love the Needle Up/Down function, especially when sewing a long stretch of bias binding or something with many corners.
75% found it durable
I noticed that the sewing machine feels sturdier with more metal and less plastic.
This machine is built to last longer than cheaper computerized machines from other companies and is of better quality.
93% highlighted the automatic thread cutter, whereas 7% struggled
I am disappointed as I bought the machine for the auto thread cutting feature and it did not meet my expectations.
I face the problem of the machine not remembering stitch settings when turned off. I have to reset it every time, even if using just a straight stitch. The stitch length must be set each time I turn the machine on or switch from one stitch to another.
I find that the decorative stitches work well and are easy to use. I like that I just have to push a button to select a zigzag or a straight stitch, which makes the sewing machine easy to use.
I found a piece of thread wrapped around the bobbin case of my factory refurbished sewing machine, which should not have happened during the refurbishing process.
