If you're on a budget and don't mind coming up with your own solution when the pad backing comes off, I recommend this product.
The light blue color of the previous sticky notes was too pale to be noticed on a box or folder.

These sticky notes have a strong adhesive and can stick on a desk for weeks if untouched. They also stick well to paper, folders and notebooks.

The adhesive is very light and it is hard to get the notes in the dispenser as they just want to pull apart. When I pull one out, they just pull apart and dont pull the next sticky up, thus they dont work in a dispenser as I have to open it up in order to get the next sticky.
I am disappointed with the adhesive strength of the self-stick-note-pads. The adhesion is terrible and once it separates from the others, it will not stick to anything else again.
