I use these self-stick-note-pads for various purposes like quick notes for family, to-dos, reminders, shopping lists, and notes to my kids for their lunches.
Upon removal, sticky notes may disintegrate, leave heavy residue, and possibly damage any paper they are stuck to.

The paper texture is a little waxy, so using gel pens or any kind of pens without immediately drying ink can cause smudging.
