I have been using the Litter Robot 3 for two years now and it has never reliably worked. I have had multiple replacement parts sent out and they keep it running for a while and then it breaks down again.

I need to empty the bag underneath between once weekly to every three weeks, depending on usage. I have learned through trial and error that I should disassemble the robot and wash all of the pieces with a hose every couple of quarters. Based on my experience, I can say that the cleaning mechanism efficiency of self-cleaning-cat-litter-boxes is impressive.
I need to clean the machine 1-2 times a week to prevent it from getting stuck or thinking that the cat is still in it.
