About 3M Peltor X3A Over-the-Head Ear Muffs
Overall Feedback:
95% positive
94% appreciated the easy adjustability
I need to slightly adjust the safety-earmuffs from time-to-time because even being slightly off the noise level increases noticeably.
These safety earmuffs have helped me a lot, but they are not great for sleeping. I have to figure out a way to keep from tossing and turning. I can understand how size may be an issue for those who have large ears.
I bought safety earmuffs because I don't want to listen to some of my coworkers in the warehouse.
96% found them extremely comfortable to wear
I found the earmuffs very comfortable and could wear them for 3.5 hours straight without any complaints.
97% liked the durable construction
I plan to report back on the earmuffs' durability after 6 months of using them with power equipment.
I had a partial parotidectomy on my right jaw and used safety-earmuffs afterwards. The earmuffs' padding did not interfere with the scar site.
The ear muff/ear protectors are very comfortable and can muffle out loud noises including the smoke detector.
93% appreciated the noise isolation, though 7% experienced leakage
I can still faintly hear noise like people talking, television playing and other things going on with the earmuffs. If someone struggles with even the slightest bit of noise, they should look for completely noise cancelling headphones.
When I sleep, the earmuffs are not great and I have to figure out a way to keep from tossing and turning.
93% liked its excellent noise reduction, while 7% were dissatisfied
The earmuffs allow me to hear the news at a more tolerable level. Some people with regular hearing may not be able to hear at that level due to hyperacousis.
Even with noise cancellation, I can still faintly hear people talking, television playing, and other noises with these headphones.
I can no longer use the earmuffs as the plastic covering on the foam has deteriorated.
