The rubber-bands are strong despite not being wide/thick.
I discarded 2 rubber bands that were thin in an area and looked as though they might break if I stretched them. However, I did not experience any of the rubber bands breaking even after bundling up to 4 cookie boxes together with one band and doubling the bank over for more support.
I think I received an old batch of rubber bands and the material is breaking down.
