The odor has been reduced by 2/3 to 3/4 and the ferret scent has been reduced to about 1/3 to 1/4 of what it used to be.
I have personally experienced that the purifier quickly eliminates the smells of food that linger after cooking, especially during the winter where doors and windows cannot be left open.
I am disappointed that the air purifier seems to concentrate odors rather than eliminating them, but washing the filter system may help remove them.

I found that the noise level is manageable based on the fan. I put it on high for half an hour before bedtime and then turned it to 3 which seemed like pleasant white noise.
If you have an issue with noise, level 4 is less noisy and level 3 is barely noticeable.
I find that levels 1-4 of the purifier are nice and quiet, but level 5 is insanely loud. I usually run it all day at level 3 or 4 but will increase it to level 5 for short periods of time as needed. I cannot sleep with it at max but it's a nice sound level at any of the lower settings.
Levels #4 and #5 are best for filtering air in large rooms and are loud.
