I was not bothered by the noise level of the air conditioner. It is fairly normal for this type of window ACs. However, there is a slight 'pinging' of the water on the condenser which is mentioned as 'normal' in the instruction booklet.
The air conditioner is so quiet that I forget it's on when I use the 'Quiet' mode. I even sleep with it about a foot from my head.
Haier Window AC units operate quietly, allowing for a peaceful and undisturbed environment.
The noise level of this air conditioner is much less than any older window unit I have used. There is no comparison between the two and I am impressed.

The window unit cooled my 700 sq ft living room in just 20 minutes and kicks off automatically once the set temperature is reached.
With doors open, my air conditioner easily cools my one bedroom apartment of around 400 sq ft.
