About Vortex Optics Sonora 4-12x44 Second Focal Plane Riflescope
Overall Feedback:
89% positive
90% found it easy to adjust, while 10% struggled
I complained that the crosshairs were consistently blurry despite adjustments. It was so blurry that I didn't want to mount the scope and waste a round trying to zero it. Additionally, the target became blurry after about 6x.
89% appreciated the battery life, but 11% experienced frequent drain
I have noticed that the scope loses zero every time I take a shot during hunting season.
88% appreciated the build quality, though 12% experienced issues
I put the optic on my .270 Win rifle and it zeros easily and tracks perfectly.
I was disappointed with the scope as it was unusable and blurry, and it was a letdown from the usual quality of Vortex optics.
84% liked the magnification power, but 16% found it difficult to use
For deer hunting, it's easy to use with a maximum range of 300 yards.
I found the scope unusable, but there was no mention of its magnification power.
I bought the medium mount for my AR-10 and the scope was too low for my line of sight.
91% praised the mounting process, though 9% raised issues
I installed the scope on my Savage 17HMR rifle.
I mounted the optic on my .270 Win rifle and it zeros easily and tracks accurately.
I bought the medium mount for my AR-10 but it was too low for my line of sight. I had to return them for the high ones.
92% liked the weather-resistant design
I did not find any information about the weather resistance of rifle-scopes in the review.
I complained that the crosshairs were consistently blurry despite adjustments. It was so blurry that I didn't want to mount the scope and waste a round trying to zero it. Additionally, the target became blurry after about 6x.
With the side parallax, I can easily range to my needs and the reticle shows the same image regardless of the magnification.
