About CVLIFE 3-9x40 Optics R4 Reticle Crosshair Scope
Overall Feedback:
82% positive
78% praised the mounting process, though 22% raised issues
I mounted the scope to a Ruger American .22 and it sighted in quickly and holds zero well.
The scope comes with everything needed to securely mount it to the picatinny rail.
The mounting brackets of this scope are designed for hunting rifles that use gun powder shells, so it may not fit a pellet rifle.
78% found it easy to adjust, while 22% struggled
The zoom feature works great for both long-range and short-range targets, and the adjustments are easy to make with clear clicks and directional indicators.
I could not get a clear focus at little over 5X for my backyard (relatively short distance), which is the reason I am returning this scope.
81% appreciated the build quality
The scope is made entirely of metal and has never failed at any range from 10 to 100 yards.
The glass is of good quality, doesn't fog, and the dials and adjustments are smooth.
80% liked the magnification power
The 3 to 9 magnification range is versatile and useful, but the magnification ring is a bit stiff to turn.
I am optimistic about the performance of the scope at higher magnification, although I have not had a chance to test it yet.
I mounted the scope to a Ruger American .22 and it sighted in quickly and holds zero very well.
85% liked the weather-resistant design
I don't abuse my rifle and don't treat it like a fragile item. This could be related to weather resistance of rifle-scopes, as I use the rifle in various conditions without any issues.
82% found the weight ideal, while 18% found it bulky
I appreciate the quality and durability of the scope rings that come with the scope. They mount very solidly and have a texture that provides a good grip on the rails.
I faced a problem with adjusting the scope, specifically with moving the crosshairs. I found a solution by turning both the windage and elevation adjustments left and right several times, which allowed me to move the crosshairs to the desired position.
