It took me 10 minutes to set up the extender using the Tether app. I had to wait for 5 minutes for the extender to connect with the modem and a couple of minutes to reconnect after moving it to the middle coverage area.
I could see the extender on my devices, but it was not compatible.

I have found that the TP-Link extender provides a stable Wi-Fi connection to my upstairs bedroom, which was previously shaky with the old extender.
The RE500X increased the strength and stability of the Upload speed for our devices on the 1st floor.
