About TP-Link AX5400 WiFi 6 Range Extender with Ethernet Port
Overall Feedback:
85% positive
83% found it compatible with various devices, while 17% had issues
I can enjoy Netflix in the furthest rooms of my house due to the strong signal provided by the AC1900.
I was able to set up a Ring camera on the back balcony which previously had no signal and connect a video doorbell, even though my router is located on the 4th floor. The device worked really well.
I am not receiving any signal from the repeater.
83% praised the stable connections
I experienced a significant improvement in my internet connection speed after using the TP AC1900 Wifi Extender, going from 3.5mb a sec download speed to 15.5mb a sec download speed and from 30-35mbps internet connection to now 108 to 112mbps.
82% appreciated the easy setup
Setting up was a breeze, taking less than 5 minutes. There were also various setup methods mentioned.
The installation process of the TP-Link AC1900 WiFi Extender (RE550) was easy and went as planned. The directions were clear and precise.
66% liked the power consumption, whereas 34% didn't
So far, the device has worked wonderfully.
I did not mention the power consumption of the repeater.
I spent three days and multiple communications to TP-extender, but there was no improvement.
84% appreciated the range extension feature
I use the repeater to extend the range of my TP-Link AC1900 Wifi Router in my house.
I tested the repeater's range by placing it outside my house and found that it achieved full signal strength at a distance of 19 feet with just air in-between.
After using the TP-Link AC1900 WiFi Extender (RE550), dead spots in my garage no longer exist.
82% highlighted the signal strength indicator, yet 18% didn't
On none of my cameras was the signal boosted to full bars.
I am not receiving any signal from the product.
Upstairs, I did not experience a significant increase in Fiber speed when using the extender. It is unclear if the range is adequate for a product that costs over $100.
At home, even in the next bedroom, I have noticed dead areas with the router despite it being a great product.
86% liked the high-speed performance, but 14% noticed slowdowns
I improved my router's speed performance with this repeater. I was only getting 1-2mbps from the native ASUS router, but now I get 50-80mbps in a distant room.
The extender app worked with a speed of 10%, but it did not boost the signal to full bars on any of my cameras.
Upstairs, I didn't see much improvement in Fiber speed with the extender. I'm unsure if the range justifies the high cost.
In a distant room where the native ASUS router was barely giving 1-2mbps, this repeater gave me 50-80mbps.
