About Shure SRH440 Professional Studio Headphones
Overall Feedback:
85% positive
68% liked the comfortable fit
I upgraded the earpads to the HPAEC840 model to address the comfort issue and it helped quite a lot. Now I can wear them for 90 minutes without a headache.
64% appreciated the reliable connectivity
It is easy to plug into a 15-foot extension cable.
74% appreciated the durability, but 26% reported issues
The headphones are very durable and solid in construction. I have used them for 3 years and they only broke due to my carelessness.
The durability of these headphones is average, but they can withstand a couple of bedside falls, cat chewing, and being sat on.
68% liked the wide frequency response
The headphones have an excellent frequency response for gaming.
The frequency balance is excellent with all bands represented well and fairly.
73% were satisfied with the noise cancellation
The sound isolating quality creates a nice listening environment and allows for lower volumes, as I have mentioned.
66% found them easy to transport
I like the design and portability of the headphones.
85% appreciated the sound
The sound quality is great and clear, although I wish for a deeper bass. Nonetheless, I have never regretted my purchase.
The headphones have the best sound quality for the price. They are neutral, accurate and remarkably crisp sounding. It lacks a bit of bass, but it is not that bad, only if you are used to artificially boosted headphones will you be disappointed.
The sound signature of these headphones is neutral. Even mediocre recordings sound good and great recordings are even better.
I noticed a crispness and pop in the sound of my electronic drums now.
I upgraded the earpads to the HPAEC840 model to address the comfort issue and it helped quite a lot. Now I can wear them for 90 minutes without a headache.
I don't mind the slight touch of warmth in the upper bass and lower midrange of these headphones, as they are plenty revealing for mastering and mixing duties with extended highs and deep, detailed bass. The midrange frequencies are input/output with no editorializing.
I have bought 3 of these pedals and they last for 6-7 months before puttering out.
