If you are not comfortable with bare wiring/electricity, it is better to get a handyman to install the range-hood. However, I found it extremely easy to install myself.

The range-hood is not efficient in venting cooking smoke even on maximum setting. The whole house gets smokey if we are doing any serious cooking.
