About KOBE Range Hoods INX2930SQBF-500-1 Built-In/Insert Range Hood, 30"
Overall Feedback:
66% positive
74% found the installation process quick; however, 26% faced difficulties
I found the installation process easy, but a lot needs to be considered while installing it in a new home or during a remodel, specifically the distance from exhaust to the back wall of range. It is more difficult on older homes with low ceilings.
69% praised the lighting feature, but 31% encountered problems
I am not happy with the fluorescent blue lights on the range-hood, as it gives a nightclub-like feel.
I contacted the company and found out that there is a warmer toned light available that is more like an incandescent light. I plan to switch it out, but changing the bulbs is not an option.
87% were satisfied with its silent operation
I have noticed that this range-hood operates silently without any cabinet noise or tin rattling noise. The only noticeable sound is the speed of the fan noise and draw.
70% were impressed with the size, yet 30% weren't
I needed something basic for a 30 inch wide space and this range-hood fit the bill.
I had to measure and cut the hole for the base of the fan 1/8 inch larger than instructed, but it fit into the bottom of the cupboard perfectly. This indicates that the size of the range-hood was not as per the instructions and I had to make adjustments.
76% appreciated the suction power, yet 24% found it lacking
I find that the range-hood has good suction power but the vibration is annoying.
I found the installation process easy, but a lot needs to be considered while installing it in a new home or during a remodel, specifically the distance from exhaust to the back wall of range. It is more difficult on older homes with low ceilings.
If you are not comfortable with bare wiring/electricity, it is better to get a handyman to install the range-hood. However, I found it extremely easy to install myself.
The range-hood has 2 separate fans that are controlled independently, but they are contained in a small area and do not affect the ventilation performance. It only adds to the confusion for the controls.
