I never used the remote control as it was not convenient for me and it was easier to operate the hood manually.
In my previous home, my 600 cfm Broan controlled a motorized damper to let in outside air when the hood was on. However, I have noticed that there is no way to control such a damper now.

I found the installation template helpful and appreciated the wood screws with beveled washers.
I find the paper templates unhelpful and lacking information for hanging the rear of the unit on the wall.
The installation process of this range-hood is tricky and requires 2-3 people, 2 only if they’re both strong. The motor is designed in such a way that it is tricky to screw in near the ports in the top for the rear mounts and back for the top mount.

The lights work well, but they are closer to the front and the intensity fades farther back. However, I can still see in my pots.
After 2 months of installation, two LED lights burned out and it is very dark under the hood without them.
The lights of the range-hood are annoying blue-white and can be replaced by warm-white corn-row led bulbs.

I am disappointed with the noise level of the range hood. It is much louder than the claimed 40dB. I selected this model and brand specifically for its quiet operation, but it turned out to be extremely loud.
I find the range-hood extremely loud, like sticking my head into a fan running at cyclone speed. My old range-hood was whisper quiet in comparison.

I chose this range-hood because of its style and overall dimensions, especially its height of 10 inches, which perfectly filled the space of an OTR microwave.
I noticed that the vent size of the range hood is 8 inches, which is not appropriate for anything under 600 CFM. I had to clench down the duct because I couldn't find any related part. This was a big hassle and waste of time for me in the home improvement stores.
