I found the installation process of the range hood straightforward by using the template that comes with the hood to mark where the screws go. Although I needed help to hold it in place while screwing the top of the hood to the underside of the cabinets.

The range-hood is not 30 inches, it is 3/4 of an inch short and there are gaps on each side of the vent.
