About PRUNUS J-160 Transistor AM FM Radio Small Portable Retro Radio
71% liked the frequency range
My unit did not give any false peaks between stations, which is a common issue in lower-priced DSP chip-tuned radios.
75% were satisfied with display and controls, whereas 25% weren't
The audio control smoothly raises and lowers volume without sudden outbursts or sharp drops.
The on/off button has some resistance and both controls are small. However, it's not a complaint and I wouldn't avoid this product because of that.
The on/off button doubles as the volume control and may wear out sooner than I'd like. Additionally, volume doesn't kick in until reaching 1/4 volume.
The volume control is very sensitive on the low end and goes from low to fairly loud with just a fraction of a turn.

70% appreciated the antenna length and design
I was surprised by the reception quality of the radio on FM band despite the antenna being very short. All of the low power NPR stations near the bottom of the dial came in about the same as more expensive radios with much longer antennas.
I have tried placing the radio in front of a passive/tunable MW loop antenna and the results were impressive. The radio could perform even better with this setup.
I can pull in quite a few stations on ShortWave with just the included antenna and more if I add one of those reel-type antennae to it.
86% were impressed with the portability, yet 14% faced challenges
I find the radio small and easy to hold in my palm, but it may not be suitable for carrying around like a pocket transistor radio.
The radio has wonderful portability and locks on to stations with little or no static when changing channels.
I feel that the radio is not designed for constant carrying during activities like walking or hiking.
86% found connectivity options easy
I can now tune in my favorite station which is 60 miles away, which I was not able to do with various plug-in clock radios. Local stations also come in perfectly.
91% appreciated the audio quality, however 9% were dissatisfied
If I place the radio in a corner or close to a wall, the bass reflects back and makes it sound fuller.
The sound quality is not superb, but it is good enough to listen to the radio or have in hand for emergencies.
