About FORTECLEAR 5000mAh Hand Crank Solar Emergency Radio
Overall Feedback:
88% positive
93% were impressed with the portability
I found that the radio has three sources of powering the device: a built-in rechargeable battery, a solar panel, and a hand-crank that fold neatly into the back of the radio when not in use, making it easy to carry around.
I can charge the radio quickly with the USB-C port or trickle charge it in the sun with the solar panel.
90% liked the frequency range, but 10% didn't
According to the Forte brochure, if I crank it for one minute at 130 rotations per minute, I will get six minutes of radio time and 50 minutes of flashlight time.
I need to walk around to get a signal when looking for weather band. This is true for all emergency radios or any radio with WB/NOLA option. FM comes in the best and is the easiest to use.
87% were satisfied with display and controls, whereas 13% weren't
I found it difficult to distinguish between the volume and tuning knobs on the radio because the printing on the outside blended almost perfectly with the plastic.
91% appreciated the antenna length and design
When I extend the antenna, the radio works well and brings in AM, FM, and NOAA weather stations very clearly.

I noticed that the radio has a charging port option to keep a phone charged with the internal battery. This is a good feature for those who use their phones heavily.
I found that the radio could receive signals on all bands except near the river. However, it did not pick up stations well and no weather band was found.
