About AM FM Shortwave Radio Retro Portable Transistor Radio
Overall Feedback:
90% positive
92% were impressed with the portability
During power outages, the radio can be a lifesaver as it has the ability to use a variety of power sources.
I love the portability of this radio. It's rechargeable and can be carried outside, or used with batteries or plugged in.
71% liked the frequency range
I was surprised to find that the radio could pick up short wave outside, despite being surrounded by multiple layers and walls that obstruct frequencies.
75% were satisfied with display and controls, whereas 25% weren't
I was surprised to see the bright light blue color of the radio dial when I turned it on. I was expecting a dim white color like old-fashioned radios had.
The volume control only has two levels - really low or really loud. I have to play with it to get it right.
The volume control jumps from very low to very high with almost no adjustment and is the wrong type.
91% found connectivity options easy
I can adjust the volume with my phone when using Bluetooth to stream music, without using the knob on the radio.
When I use Bluetooth to connect, I can easily adjust the volume using my phone/Bluetooth device or the volume knob on the radio itself.
87% appreciated the audio quality, however 13% were dissatisfied
The sound quality is poor and the volume is very low even when turned all the way up.
I have used the radio and found that it has AM, FM, and WB frequency range. I was able to tune in to the weather band with some effort and caught a signal.
I find the sd card option to be the most important feature. It can be difficult to navigate through folders on other units, but this radio makes it easy.
My unit did not give any false peaks between stations, which is a common issue in lower-priced DSP chip-tuned radios.
