About VViViD Clear Paint Protection Scratch Resistant Vinyl Wrap Film
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
66% praised the bubble-free application, but 34% experienced issues
I almost gave up on trying to work out the miniature bubbles that were left, but after waiting for 3 days in warm weather, they worked themselves out and it became smooth.
Heating the material helped a bit but there are still bubbles. I will most likely need to redo or replace the cover because it looks horrible with the bubbling.
I faced difficulties removing air bubbles with a squeegee and it does not stretch or mold well to the curves of my car.
I found it difficult to work with compared to 3M and getting out bubbles was a problem.
The protective shield is thin and has tons of orange peel. It's not like xpel or 3M. Although the price was attractive, I won't be buying it again.
62% praised the device compatibility, but 38% faced issues
The protective shield works well for the two specific uses I mentioned.
It is difficult to get the protective shield to adhere and look clear on dark finishes.
68% appreciated the durability, though 32% experienced peeling
The vinyl is pretty durable and our dog has tested it.
I compared the original material with the new one and found that the original material was thicker and had been on for 11 years. I am doubtful about the service life of the new product.

The protective film is not very durable and should be used with caution when using a hot air gun as it shrinks unevenly. It scratches and tears easily due to its thinness.
71% found it easy to install, but 29% faced troubles
If I am able to install window tint with success, then this product would be easy to install.
The installation process was basic and similar to window tinting.
I was skeptical about the installation of the protective shield because it was thinner than I was used to. It is heat activated and should be put on and stretched as needed and then hit with a heat gun lightly. However, stretching it is unforgiving and can result in pulls and droops pretty easily.
I found this product very difficult to install despite my experience with vinyl applications.
66% praised the protection, but 34% experienced issues
The film provides very good protection against stone chips and abrasions.
I find it difficult to apply and work with the protective shield on irregular shapes. I bought it to protect my car headlights.
The product was just regular vinyl and did not flex or conform as needed. It only stayed on temporarily and left residue when heat was applied. The adhesive was not what I have seen normally used with paint protection film.
The protective film is very thin and scratches and tears easily. I have used book cover film that offers more protection than this.
63% liked the preserved touch sensitivity, while 37% experienced lag
I almost gave up on trying to work out the miniature bubbles that were left, but after waiting for 3 days in warm weather, they worked themselves out and it became smooth.
I installed the protective shield wet by spraying the sticky side with alcohol to line up the seams almost perfectly.
