About Honeywell Home RTH221B 1-Week Programmable Thermostat and First Alert Battery Powered Alarm
Overall Feedback:
84% positive
74% liked the temperature range, but 26% didn't
I noticed that the thermostat is running heat nonstop even though its set to auto at 60 degrees. When the temperature is 70 degrees, there is no reason for it to turn on. I feel hot air blowing out of vents nonstop and looked at the thermostat at it was 81 degrees!
72% highlighted the sensor accuracy, but 28% raised issues
I have to cycle the thermostat manually as it doesn't send the heat call signal even after several attempts.
75% were satisfied with the display, however, 25% were not
I appreciated the thermostat's innocuous gray display color instead of the usual glaring green or brilliant blue.
It is difficult to see the numbering and lettering on the thermostat while programming or just viewing.
The screen not lighting up indicates a problem with the display clarity of our programmable thermostat.
The only drawback of our product is that the display is not backlit.

I have complained that the thermostat starts the recovery process too early, causing the temperature to rise too high. I have to get up and adjust the temperature again.
I have noticed that the thermostat cycles on when the temperature drops 0.5 degrees from the set point and cycles off when achieving the set point.
