I had trouble pairing up this device with my ios/android devices and had to contact tech support. They gave me a lecture about opening up ports on my router and I had to talk to my internet provider/wifi router company. I tried different options on my own and realized that it works only on 2.4GHZ frequency and not on 5 GHZ. After I made the change in my router it worked fine.

I programmed the thermostat with 3 sensors and they work beautifully in maintaining my environment.
During the day, Ecobee adjusts only to the family room/kitchen sensor and ignores the bedroom sensor. At night, it is reversed.

The thermostat has a geo-fence feature that allows me to set it for away when I travel beyond a pre-established distance and returns settings to Home settings when I return within a certain distance from the thermostat.
