I was able to read a 1GB file from another PC on my network at a speed of 725 mbps using the network adapter, which gets good speeds.
I can now see 500mbps at points throughout my house, with a degradation in speed the further I get from an AP.
I added the powerline network adapter to a coax jack in another room and now I have fast, wired ethernet there for a fraction of the price of running cable through the walls.
I was surprised to see how close I was to 1 gig speeds after running the speed test on the adapter, which has the capability for 1 gig speed. This was surprising because I was at about half that speed before picking this up.
