About goCoax MoCA 2.5 Adapter with 2.5GbE Ethernet Port
Overall Feedback:
96% positive
87% liked the compact and durable design, but 13% found it flimsy
I occasionally notice that my 2.5 gig model negotiates to 100 megabit with my Trendnet switches, which may be a quality issue with the product.
Rephrased: My 2.5 gig model occasionally negotiates to 100 megabit with my Trendnet switches, which could be a quality issue with the product.
92% praised the connectivity, but 8% experienced issues
I had an issue with the adapters causing instability and intermittent connectivity, but it was not the fault of the adapters. The issue was caused by a compromised coaxial run and when this line had a MoCA adapter hooked up, it caused other MoCA adapters to intermittently cut out. Once this run was eliminated from the network, everything worked perfectly.
The 2.5GbE Ethernet port is a notable feature that offers high-speed data transfer, perfect for streaming, gaming, or heavy internet usage.
When they work, powerline-network-adapters work well.
It was difficult for me to connect the powerline-network-adapter behind the living room TV on the first floor, as all my network connections are on the second floor.
Both adapters connecting the router to the LAN claim zero problems with bad and dropped packets and consistently show the link as up, but there is definitely something happening.
94% found it easy to set up and install
I set up the powerline-network-adapters and had a stable, fast, low/no latency connection over coax in around 10 minutes.
The installation was simple and it worked right out of the box with our existing Motorola MoCA network that has a mixture of MoCA 2.0 and MoCA 2.5.
I find this product useful for extending ethernet to a room where there is no other option other than coax.
95% found the network speed to be fast and reliable
The network speed of powerline-network-adapters is around 850Mbps between hosts on my LAN, while my 1Gbps ethernet line speed w/ cat6 is 940Mbps.
I achieved a speed of 45/75 MBps without making any changes, which is close to the designed speed of 110/110 MBps.
96% praised the extended range and coverage
By connecting the furthest mesh to the moca, I improved the gigabit speeds from the furthest devices.
I was able to achieve a speed of 45/75 MBps on a line which is 110/110 MBps by design without making any changes.

The product functions as an additional mesh point for my far off bedroom over the garage. I got a strong WiFi signal using the included Powerline and Wireless adapters.
I recommend this powerline-network-adapter for upgrading or having a stable connection. It significantly improves streaming performance, download speed, and latency.
I was able to use the existing coax cable with these adapters, which saved me a lot of money. The adapters work well based on speed tests and download of large files.
