I found it easy to replace the pressure switch on my Kobalt 221565 60 gal. vertical tank air compressor. Everything was identical and it was just a matter of moving things from the old switch to the new one.

I have noticed that the internal pressure relief valves of this model fail almost immediately. It works from 125-155psi and reaches 155psi and turns off. But within seconds the pressure relief valve opens up and the pressure bleeds until the compressor starts again.
I experienced issues with the old pressure switch failing after minimal running hours, causing the compressor to not shut off cleanly and immediately resume running again. This is negative feedback regarding the performance of power-tool-replacement-parts.
As time goes by, the quality control of the product has diminished.
