About Power Strip with USB, TESSAN Desktop 5 Ft Extension Cord Flat Plug
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
96% were satisfied with the surge protection, but 4% weren't
I replaced my old surge protector with this new one because I was worried about electrocution and fire hazards. This power-strip works very well with secure outlets and functional USB ports without any overcharging worries.
When I attach the surge protector, the generator shuts off, but it doesn't without it.
94% appreciated the safety features
I plan to have more power-strips set up like little hubs in my house, so I can quickly turn off multiple devices with one switch in the event of a thunderstorm or electrical outage.
85% liked the mounting options, while 15% raised concerns
I like the wall plug because it is thin and flat, suitable for plugging into a wall socket behind furniture.
The power cord plug has a 'clocked' right angle which works well in wall plugs with limited access, but can be problematic for carpeted floor recessed receptacles.
I had to use double-sided tape or 3D print a bracket to wall mount the unit. There should be an option to wall mount the unit by default.

I decided to run power up to my desktop to get the plugs and wires out of harms way. Based on my experience, I can say that using a power-strip is helpful in this situation.
For major electronics, the power-strip does not provide enough protection, but it is fine for charging handhelds.
