The speed of the rotary tool is adjustable from 5,000 - 30,000 RPM, allowing flexibility depending on the project. Adjusting the speed is as easy as turning the spin wheel while using the tool. My old Dremel only had three settings - low, medium and high, which did not fit within my needs for more power or control.
