I bought the cut-off wheels for heavier duty jobs from Amazon and they work quickly with 2mm to 3mm steel, which is pretty impressive for my money with a Dremel.
The cheaper ones take more time to change, but I still like to buy them, and Dremel has one of the best customer service departments.
The wheels seem to be long lasting, but the center ring can come apart easily if the wheel gets stopped by metal.
The cutoff disks are much better than the original design disks, which used to break if you just applied a small amount of force.
I was very impressed with the cut off wheels when I was removing the old K&T wiring from my house.
Question & Answers
Will this work with my portable drill?
If you can close the chuck to less than 1/8", it will fit, but your drill won't have enough speed to do the job well.
Does it come with the attachment or just the wheels?
There is a mandrel for this series of wheels, if you look at the "frequently bought together" area just below the main add.
I have a Dremel 4200 and I can't cut a perfect straight line in aluminum, is there an accessory that will keep the dremel in plasce?
I used a scrap piece of wood and drilled out 4 holes for the U-bolts, then used he u-bolts to hold the Dremel tool in place.
Will the ez456 wheel and the ez402 lock mandrel work with a dremel 200 rotary tool?
You need the correct collet for the mandrel, I think that is the correct Mandrel, I don't think there is more than Dremel ez lock.
How do you dremel it fit on?
Dremel's 1.5" cut off wheels can be used on the company's corded high speed tools and most cordless tools, but they need an EZ402 mandrel to be placed on the mandrel.
