I found this tool useful while building a wood frame over a sailboat for a cover. I was able to cut the wood at odd angles with this tool in one hand and a 2x4 in the other while walking around the deck.
There is some vibration and it takes some muscle, but it saved me days of work compared to using an axe by hand.
I can easily cut branches up to three inches in diameter with the tool, including oak, apple and bradford pear hardwoods, though it's best on one and two inch diameters.
