The dust collection is more effective than expected. Although it doesn't capture everything, it still captures a majority of the dust.
I am delighted with the dust control provided by the Bosch Palm sander. I got rid of the dust filter that came with the sander and hooked it up to a dewalt shop vac, and the results were pretty amazing. The dust control was better than anything I expected.
