About BLACK+DECKER 20V Max Pole Saw, 8-Inch, Cordless (LPP120)
76% appreciated the long-lasting battery life, though 24% didn't
The battery lasts for 45 minutes to an hour depending on the size of the branch being cut.
The battery needs to be charged overnight as it only lasts for 1 hour.
The newly charged battery stops for no reason.
88% praised the high-quality chain and bar, though 12% experienced issues
I bought this pole saw 10 years ago and it is still going strong. There was a couple of years where I did not use it because the original chain had rusted and stopped working, but once I decided to replace the chain, it started working like new again.
I was able to clean up a 3 acre property without sharpening the chain, indicating good chain quality.
I occasionally experience the chain falling off, but it is easy to tighten up.
The chain quality is not good.

92% praised the efficient cutting performance
I was able to cut bigger branches with a lot of effort using the 8 inch chain.
90% liked the extended reach, but 10% found it unstable
The extra extension is useful for cutting higher limbs.
I have complained that the pole saw died mid-cut despite being a new tool.
85% liked the easy maintenance, but 15% encountered problems
I bought 2 extended batteries for this tool and after using just one of them, it doesn't seem to drain them as fast as I had expected.
The battery life tends to drain quickly when cutting thicker limbs, but overall it is easy to use and versatile.
I found that the pole saw stopped working after a few months of use. Upon disassembling it, I discovered a disconnected wire from the terminal which I resoldered. It worked for a short time before the terminal came off the post on the motor. I recrimped the terminal to the post but it broke off the motor after a few minutes. I was very disappointed with the maintenance of the pole saw.
93% found it easy to maneuver, but 7% didn't
At the connection point, the power-pole-saw seems to be bending a little bit more than I would like.
83% appreciated the powerful motor, though 17% experienced issues
The 20v battery provides ample power to work with.
I have difficulty using gas-powered pole saws because of their awkward and bulky nature, making it hard for me to lift them to cut anything.
When cutting thicker limbs, the battery drains quickly.
74% praised the safety features
The battery life is short, but it is versatile and easy to use. It works great for taking down medium sized limbs and reaching tough places.
